I have been honing my cake decorating skills for 30 years now and have decided to concentrate solely on making wedding cakes.
My wedding cakes are covered with my signature buttercream recipe and over the years I have learned to frost my cakes smooth to look just like fondant. Although I will use fondant as accents on my cakes, such as bows and ribbon cascades, I do not offer to cover the entire cake. I feel my buttercream does the trick you think should leave your reception with the enjoyment of a great tasting cake!
